Hindu tempel alter converted to burial ground
Hindu Temple Remnant
Hindu temple remnant - Sadly the muslim rulers either demolished the hindu tempels or converted them into Islamic mosque. Those intolerant attitude has left a indelible scar in Hindus psyche for ever. That is reflected in the rise of Hindu nationalism in India. These are the pillars commonly seen in hindu temples.
I am not sure what was the reason to build this tower. Was it a triumphant gesture or a watch tower? What ever the reason may be. But it looks good and well worth the visit if you are passing through Delhi.
Talk about intolerance - this is one of extreme examples of Islamic intolerance towards other religions. Now they are discovering that the world famous Taj mahal is also one such conversion of Hindu temple.
Qutub minar is built in a temple which was converted to a mausoleum. The once Hindu temple altar is now a burial ground !!!

The qutb minar nad unfinished alai minar are not parts of hindu temple for sure. But in the same place (Outb complex) the quwwat-ul-islam mosque is bulit by the demolished parts of forty hindu and jain temples, the pillars and the idol inscripted tiles are the proof
